The Solari Building

One Market Square, Amesbury, MA

Woodman Associates Architects worked closely with their client, the Provident Bank, to revitalize and upgrade the town center of Amesbury through the restoration and reconstruction of the Solari Building, a former bank.

A nationally award winning project, this revitalized mixed use building in the heart of Amesbury includes a large restaurant space on the first floor, as well as 6 residential condo units. All of the condos sold as soon as they were put on the market, and the success of the overall restoration effort helped to stimulate a new wave of development in Amesbury's downtown.

The building was embraced by the Historic Commission, Design Review Board, and the local citizenry because of its help in improving the image of Amesbury.
